FACULTY POSITIONS OPENING
Department of Mechanical Engineering at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. Applicants with the expertise on mechanical design and manufacturing, control and opto-mechatronics, energy or thermo-fluid science are particularly encouraged. The appointments are expected to start on February 1, 2024, or August 1, 2024. Applications will be evaluated soon after they are received; review will continue until the positions are filled. Applicants need to specify the position level and area of expertise in the cover letter. All application materials will not be returned after the evaluation process.
Located in Taiwan’s Silicon Valley, Hsinchu Science Based Industrial Parks, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University renowned for its technology innovations is the premier choice for study and research in Taiwan. Currently the ME department has 31 faculty members with an enrollment of approximately 410 undergraduate students and 350 graduate (70 PhD) students.
Following documents should be included in the application package:
(1) Cover letter
(2) CV with publication list;
(3) Selection of representative publications (up to five publications, Ph.D. dissertation should be included for applicant receiving Ph.D. degree within five years);
(4) Research plan;
(5) Teaching plan, including courses could offer;
(6) Copy of Ph.D. diploma;
(7) Copy of academic transcript;
(8) One recommendation letter at least.
