Introduction to the job
ASML is at the leading edge of enabling the semiconductor industry – a key component of the digital economy. We invent and develop complex technology and machinery used to create transistors and computing chips. With long product cycles, it is essential that ASML has strategic insight from our Customers and the semiconductor ecosystem. The Head of Strategic Marketing for Taiwan and Southeast Asia will work to  ensure long term ASML business success through understanding of market and technology changes and ensuring current and future ASML products and strategy are aligned to meet Customer requirements. 

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.

Role and responsibilities
Lead a small team of customer marketing in Taiwan and Southeast Asia  and China representing multiple strategic Customers of ASML
Support aligning long-term customer roadmaps and node requirements (5-10 years or more in the future) with ASML solutions addressing both technical performance and cost.
Align Customer capacity scenarios to end market demand and align market opportunity for new and installed systems extending the horizon beyond account team’s visibility including disruptive factors beyond market driven demand.
Develop an in-depth understanding of customer business objectives, business model, and targets and translate this into negotiation targets for ASML
Identify, investigate and strategize the impact of market and technology developments on ASML’s future business and opportunities. Ensure embedding and alignment in ASML’s corporate marketing and strategy.
Develop and align competition analysis and competitive positioning strategy
Develop and align Customer specific value and ROI analysis
Drive voice of Customer in ASML long-term strategy process
Work closely together with customer teams, business lines, and corporate strategy
Align insights over multiple regions and assess impact on Taiwan and Southeast Asia of extra-regional developments

Education and experience
MSc or PhD in Engineering or Physical Science; MBA desirable

Extensive industry experience in semiconductor processing, design, or commercial roles
•            Recognized industry professional with broad understanding of semiconductor technology and markets
•            Experience of Lithography systems and customer application strongly preferred.
•            Marketing or commercial experience in semiconductors
Travel required 25% including international trav
