Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented **Software Test Engineer** to conduct comprehensive software testing and produce high-quality test reports and validation documentation. The role involves working closely with developers, QA, and system engineers to ensure the reliability and compliance of embedded or software-based systems.



Key Responsibilities

* Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software systems (manual and/or automated)
* Perform functional, integration, regression, and system-level testing
* Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Redmine, Bugzilla)
* Collaborate with development teams to reproduce and verify defect resolutions
* Prepare test reports, validation summaries, and traceability matrices
* Maintain and organize test documentation in line with project or industry standards (e.g., ISO, MIL-STD, IEC)
* Verify software against specification documents, use-case flows, and user requirements
* Support validation testing of embedded devices, network protocols, UI workflows, or hardware interfaces
* Conduct compatibility and performance testing across various platforms and environments
* Ensure testing processes follow company QA policies and contribute to process improvement

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, or related field
* 2+ years of experience in software testing or quality assurance
* Familiarity with test case management and bug tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, etc.)
* Experience with functional and regression testing methodologies
* Basic understanding of embedded systems, software architectures, or networking protocols
* Ability to write clear and concise test reports and technical documents in English
* Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
* Good verbal and written communication skills for interdepartmental collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience testing embedded software, GUI-based systems, or image processing applications
* Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, Selenium, Robot Framework)
* Understanding of software validation standards (ISO 26262, ISO 9001, IEC 61508, MIL-STD-498)
* Knowledge of version control and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins)
* Prior experience preparing formal V\&V (Verification & Validation) reports for industrial, medical, or defense-grade systems
